This policy explains how Formo Technologies Ltd collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when providing the Formo platform.
This Privacy Policy applies to people who visit Formo, create an account, use an organisation workspace, apply for work, manage work requests, or otherwise interact with the Formo platform.
We collect information needed to run a construction labour marketplace and work administration platform. This may include account and contact details, profile and work preference information, organisation and company information, job and application records, onboarding and verification information, messages, notifications, attendance and timesheet records, uploaded files, generated documents, support requests, device information, security logs, and usage data.
We use information to create and secure accounts, operate organisation workspaces, display profiles and work opportunities, support applications and onboarding, help users communicate, record work activity, generate platform records, provide support, prevent misuse, meet legal obligations, and improve Formo.
Information is shared according to the feature being used, the role of the user, and the relationship between the relevant labourer and organisation. For example, profile, portfolio, job, application, work request, message, onboarding, and timesheet information may be visible to authorised users where needed to arrange or administer work. We may also share information with trusted providers who support hosting, storage, email, maps, company lookup, analytics, verification, security, support, payment processing, and document generation.
For manual payments, we collect the account-holder name, sort code and account number you provide and store bank details encrypted. Authorised users of the paying organisation can view the details needed to pay a relevant approved timesheet. These details are not public profile information. We retain payment preferences, amounts, references, status confirmations and audit records to facilitate payments, reconcile records, prevent fraud and handle disputes. A started manual payment keeps an encrypted snapshot of its bank instructions; updating your profile does not change that snapshot. Marking a manual payment as paid records the organisation’s confirmation, not verification by a bank.
Stripe collects payment-card and onboarding information through its payment and account interfaces. We share relevant identity, contact, account and transaction information with Stripe to facilitate onboarding, payments and support. We receive account identifiers, verification and capability statuses, limited account details and payment, fee, refund or dispute information needed to operate the service. Formo does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. Stripe also processes information for its own compliance, security and payment-service purposes under its applicable privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
We process personal data where it is necessary to provide the platform, perform our agreements, pursue legitimate business interests, comply with legal obligations, protect users and the platform, or where we have consent for a specific use.
We keep personal data for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. Payment records and bank-instruction snapshots are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for payment administration and the obligations or claims they support. Some records may be retained after account closure where required for legal, tax, audit, security, fraud prevention, dispute management, enforcement, backup, or claims purposes.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You can contact us about privacy requests at support@formo-app.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
